Moving Services

• Develop a floor plan to determine exactly what fits/where in the new location, with organizational tips to make the most of the new space.

• Carefully pack all furniture and possessions that have been selected to be moved to the new location.

• Provide a list of reputable and trustworthy moving companies for client to choose from. Our client makes the decisions and signs all contracts and arranges payment. We can assist them through that part of the process if they like. On moving day we will over see everything for a smooth, seamless and simple move.

• We will proved a re-usable bag for you to carry all the important necessities with you, glasses, medication, jewellery, your personal address book and the tv remote control so it is within reach and at your finger tips when you need it.

• Before the client arrives at the new location we will unpack practically everything! We will be sure to have each room organized and safe, make the bed, hang clothes in closet, set up the bedside table exactly as it was at home so everything feels familiar from the very first day! (We will return the next day to complete a few little things and ensure everything is how you’d like it)

• We will be there to welcome the client to their new home and help with a walk about to become more familiar with their new home. • We are available to visit the client the next day, the next week and 2 weeks after to be sure they are comfortable and help introduce them to the resources within the building.

• We are available to pick up any purchases that may be needed if requested.

Disposition of Possessions

• Under the direction of the client and/or family members, household and personal possessions will be sorted and labeled into the following groups: articles to move/store, gifts for family/friends, articles to sell (auction, antique dealers, estate sale, on line kijiji sale), donations to charity and articles to dispose of.

• We are able to arrange shipping to family members out of town/province/country.

• If the home is to be sold, we can recommend a reputable and trustworthy Real Estate Agent or Home Appraiser.

• We can help arrange for minor repairs and/or cosmetic touch ups to prepare a home for sale if required.

• Pet transfer and in home pet care services if hospitalized

• Disposal of outdated medications and hazardous waste disposal

• Secure document shredding

• Address change notification to utilities, banks, Dr./Dentist/other professional offices, possibly their complete address book if they like

• If the client needs to prepare any legal documents we can recommend a reputable and trustworthy lawyer who is patient and understanding of a senior’s situation.

Age in Place Services

• Downsizing/ “rightsizing”, organizing, and de-cluttering, to keep what you love, use and need.

• Provide a list of reputable and trustworthy professionals to renovate in preparation for any accessibility or safety issues.
